Whitecap was delighted to be shortlisted for the Professional Services and Fast Growth categories at the recent West Midlands Business Masters 2020 awards for the West Midlands. The Business Masters awards, run by TheBusinessDesk.com, celebrate the achievements of the ‘most innovative, ambitious and successful businesses in the region.’

Whitecap has had a presence in the West Midlands since late 2019, when we opened a Birmingham office at Alpha Works in the city centre. The office is led by Associate Director David Mellor, and over the last 12 months David has helped Whitecap has develop a presence in the regional business community via a combination of project work, networking and participating in various events. Recently this has included participating in Birmingham Tech Week and co-hosting series of events with Freeths and Break For Growth, including sessions in Birmingham and the East Midlands.

In May 2020 Whitecap published a report on the West Midlands FinTech Ecosystem, having been commissioned by Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP. The report was the fifth regional ecosystem report to be published by Whitecap, following similar reports on the North East, Bristol & Bath, Leeds City Region and Greater Manchester. Whitecap is currently undertaking the same research in Northern Ireland.
