It is now just over 6 months since we announced the expansion of Whitecap Consulting (originally founded in May 2012), and we would like to take the opportunity to give you a brief update on our progress.
Our stated aim with Whitecap is to establish a northern based strategy and marketing consultancy that would work with businesses in service industries on a project, retained and interim basis. We are pleased to say that is exactly what we have been doing!
We have built up a client base spanning a number of industries including financial services, retail, entertainment, legal services, property, and sport. We’ve worked mainly in the north, but have taken on projects nationwide and are also currently discussing a number of international projects. Our growth prospects look strong, we are ahead of our targets, and consequently we are now accelerating our expansion strategy.
What has been very clear to us in our discussions with clients and prospects is that, as expected, businesses see most value in talking to consultants like Whitecap when there is a specific problem or challenge they need to address. The problems/challenges we are typically getting asked to help with include:
- Evaluating and revamping a marketing strategy to make it more effective in achieving business goals
- Designing and delivering a proposition strategy for a business or distribution channel
- Strategic view of a business unit/product line to increase profit contribution
- Integration of digital tools and techniques into traditional business propositions
- Identifying and engaging with providers of marketing services who are the right cultural and capability ‘fit’ for a business or situation
The next time we update you, we hope to be able to share some positive results from these projects, albeit we may not be able to specifically name the companies involved.
