Two Leeds-based businesses, Whitecap Consulting and Ignite Sports, have announced the first in a series of free breakfast events titled ‘Ignite Your Business’, to be held at the First Direct Arena on Friday 20 September from 8-10am.
Guests will be given the opportunity to enjoy a breakfast and network before hearing about the links between elite sports performance and business improvement. This will include an insight into the secrets behind the success of the British and Irish Lions, the reasons Tiger Woods is still the best golfer in the world, and how Sports Personality of the Year favourite, Andy Murray, went from brave also-ran to double Grand Slam winner.
The First Direct Arena is also the venue for the Sports Personality of the Year Awards, which Julian Wells, director at strategy and planning firm Whitecap Consulting, hopes will inspire guests. He said:
“With the help of Ignite Sports we’re able to give busy professionals genuine insights into elite sport and the lessons it can teach us all in business. Equally, business has taught sport a lot about the importance of a clear strategy and setting clear goals as individuals and for our teams.
