While 38% of the Milton Keynes population come from an ethnic minority group, crucial data is lacking on the significant contribution ethnically diverse businesses make to the local economy.
Therefore, MKEBC and Whitecap Consulting have partnered to address this data gap and are pleased to announce the development of the ‘Milton Keynes Ethnic Business Impact Report’. This extensive analysis is set to highlight the influence the ethnic business community has on Milton Keynes’ economy. Not only will the Whitecap team conduct research to estimate the economic contributions of ethnically diverse populations and businesses, it will also undertake a broader analysis using company information, innovation insights, and interviews with leaders from ethnic minority backgrounds.
Ranjit Singh, Co-founder of Milton Keynes Ethnic Business Community (MKEBC), suggests why this research is important and what it means to the ethnic business community of Milton Keyes:
“In a world where data is now king it is more important now more than ever to research and present this report to Milton Keynes. We do not know how much we contribute to the wider economy of MK and this report will not only give us the facts but will also drive further discussion and projects to develop the economy. MK is a superbly ethnically diverse city, and we all play a part in its growth and we would like to know how much of that is due to ethnic communities.
